Since this is a trial run, I will go easy on you...
I want you to choose a poem from this weekend's reading assignment
(pgs. 948-950 & 952-954) that evoked the strongest response from you as a
reader. Then, write a description of your response to the poem and explain what
details in the poem contributed to that response. Your reaction should be
thorough and thoughtful and attempt to use textual evidence.
After you complete your reaction, you will also need to respond to a
classmate's poem reaction. This also needs to be a thorough and thoughtful
response. None of this simple: "I agree with Alex" or
"Yeah, what Joella said" or "You're wrong Krys"
stuff. ;) I need you to dig deeper and JUSTIFY
your reactions and responses.
Please write at least 300 words for your blog entry (not necessarily
your peer response). This entire entry is 170 words (so plan on doubling what
this is).
